Signal Board Foundations

Our flagship path for building a Data Visualization and Analytics Platform for Customer Support Analytics that a Monday ops meeting can actually run.

Developer workspace with dual monitors showing code and charts
  • Publish a metric contract covering volume, backlog aging, and first response.
  • Choose chart types that survive interruption-heavy standups.
  • Schedule a refresh ritual your team can keep without the instructor.
  • Document known data gaps instead of hiding them behind averages.

Six weeks, one board that sticks

  1. Week 1 — Field inventory: map ticket statuses, tags, and clocks across tools.
  2. Week 2 — Metric contracts: write definitions agents can recite.
  3. Week 3 — Volume & intake views: design charts for daily load, not vanity spikes.
  4. Week 4 — Aging honesty: build backlog views that refuse to hide parked tickets.
  5. Week 5 — First-response truth: separate bot acknowledgements from human replies.
  6. Week 6 — Review ritual: facilitate a live board critique and handoff plan.

Informational pricing

Individual access typically aligns with the Pulse Desk seat (see Pricing). Team bundles use Ops Lattice. No checkout runs on this site.

Week 4’s aging exercise exposed three “waiting” statuses we had been treating as active. Painful, useful.

Short take: the templates are strong. I still wish the Excel bridge had a slower optional track.

FAQ

Do I need a specific BI tool?

No. Exercises work in spreadsheets or common BI tools. We care about definitions and visual choices more than vendor menus.

Is this suitable for brand-new analysts?

You should already export or query ticket data. Absolute beginners in spreadsheets will feel stretched in weeks 3–4.

What is a real limitation of this course?

We do not remediate broken source systems. If your ticketing API drops tags overnight, the board will still reflect that gap—we teach you to surface it, not to invent missing fields.

How do refunds work?

See our Refund policy for eligibility windows and process details.
